Gallery Restaurant is the main restaurant at Hotel Holt. It has always been a leader among Icelandic fine dining operators since it opened in 1965. Times change but unforgettable evenings at Gallery Restaurant will always be there. We can proudly boast that our restaurant is simply world class.
Gallery Restaurant has recently reclaimed it┬┤s throne as the best fine dining experience in Iceland. Head chef, Fri├░geir Ingi Eir├şksson, has slowly but surely brought the kitchen and service up to the standards the locals and visitors have become accustomed to, and then some. Gallery won the Nordic Prize on behalf of Iceland last year and had a 100% achievement from a quality check conducted by the Institute for Hospitality Management last year. An evening at Gallery Restaurant is an experience you won┬┤t soon forget.
Fri├░geir Ingi Eir├şksson, a decorated master chef, and his support
team, make sure the delicious menu is served with the ambition and
professionalism that has set the benchmark for top notch dining in
Iceland. Fri├░geir earned his stripes working alongside Mr. Philippe
Girardon (chef of the year in France, 1997) at the Michelin starred
restaurant Domaine de Clairfontaine near Lyon. An evening in our
restaurant is truly an unforgettable experience.
In January 2008, the kitchen at Gallery Restaurant was renovated to the exact specifications of Chef Fri├░geir and a large tailor made, multi-purpose stove was imported from France. This ensures seamless preparation of all items on the menu. The reason for all this work is evident from your first bite of the appetizer to your last lick of a desert spoon.

Gallery Restaurant is open 12:00-2:00pm and 6:00pm-10:30pm everyday of the week.
