Sigrun Thorgeirsdottir - Hotel Manager:
Sigrun studied Hotel Management in Switzerland and Business/Economics in England. She is also a Certified Project Management Associate (IPMA). She has worked in various hotels in Iceland, Switzerland and the UK.
Before joining Hotel Holt Sigrun worked independently as Project Manager for five years. Her projects included conferences, theatre productions, an election campaign and humanitarian aid projects.

Sigrun Petursdottir - Front Office Manager
Sigrun has a BA degree in Tourism and joined our team at the beginnnig of 2013 and took over the role of Front Office Manager in June 2014.
The main goal of Sigrun and her team at the reception is outstanding guest services.

Hera Pálmadóttir Thorlacius - Guest Concierge:
Hera has been a star in our Guest Service team and when we decided to take our guest service and communication to the next level, there was only ever one candidate. Hera has the enviable duty to try most of the restaurants and activities that are being offered to our guests and deeming them good enough for them or otherwise. She has a keen sense of what our guests want and a natural curiosity to try different things.

Eiríkur Ingi Friðgeirsson - Restaurant Owner:
Eiríkur Ingi has worked in the company since 1986, firstly as an executive chef, then as assistant hotel manager and later as hotel manager and owner. Ingi, as we call him, is an encyclopedia of all things to do with this historic building but now serves more of an office role although he is seen in the kitchen helping out on the busiest of days as well as helping everyone running a smooth operation. Ingi was a member of the Icelandic national culinary team and is now an active member of the Bocuse d´Or academy, sending a young chef to compete every year in the prestigious competition in Lyon, France. Friðgeir Ingi Eiríksson - Executive Chef & Owner:
Friðgeir is the current executive chef at Gallery Restaurant as well as being owner of the restaurant with his father, Ingi. Friðgeir studied his trade at Gallery Restaurant before moving to France for some further education at Michelin star restaurants. Friðgeir returned to Gallery Restaurant in 2007 after representing Iceland in the Bocuse d´Or competition, to take over the running of the restaurant, importing a custom made stove from France as well as redefining the menu. Slowly but surely, he has brought the restaurant back to former glory and then some. In 2012, Gallery Restaurant was the Icelandic representative for the prestigious Nordic Prize award as well as earning 100% marks on a service assessment from The Institute for Hospiltality Management. Sara Dögg Ólafsdóttir - Food and Beverage Director:
Sara Dögg takes care of all enquiries to do with restaurant, meeting and banquet bookings. Sara has now been with us for 6 years and shows great dedication when it comes to organising exactly what the client requires. She is a one stop shop for planning anything other than the hotel side of things. Weddings, private parties and simple romantic dinners are all made special by her efforts.
